Haiti's First Mentoring Center

The work in Haiti to build the Mentoring Center is still going and thanks to our supporters. Mentoring is important, not only because of the knowledge and skills children can learn from mentors, but also because mentoring provides professional socialization and personal support to facilitate success in life and beyond. Quality mentoring greatly enhances children' chances for success. Research shows that children who experience good mentoring also have a greater chance of securing academic tenure-track positions, or greater career advancement potential in administration or sectors outside their own community.

Our Mentoring Program is designed to help young people discover their true PURPOSE. In doing so we tackle various areas our teens struggle with on a daily basis. We focus on solving problems, not taking sides. We strive to collaborate, not to compete. We win when ordinary citizens understand the impact every individual can make in a community, regardless of who they are or what they believe. For us, there is victory in civic engagement that goes beyond border, party, or pride.

Imagine a country built on Mentoring. What happens when we empower and help each other reach their full potential? We can be the reason that can lay the foundation for a peaceful and sustainable future among the youth.

Take the pledge with ARISE.

This Mentoring Center will be the first of its kind in Haiti. The long-term vision is to build one of these Center in each of Haiti's departments. The impact and significance by the success of our Mentoring Program in Haiti. We have gained first hand experience as well as unique and tested strategies that will be applied to this full-scaled center.

“ARISE Project For Humanity, what they are doing is also a preventative measure. When children are being educated, when they have structure in their lives they are less likely to be taken by bad guys. It is that kind of infrastructure that protects children. It is a very big deal to us that groups like ARISE exist because it directly helps our efforts to build nations and keep children safe.'' -
